BIOGRAPHY

D.L. Ryder began her literary journey writing screenplays in Los Angeles at the age of 23.

Emboldened by industry professional praise, she was also offered to option her first screenplay and was a quarterfinalist in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship – The Academy Awards‘ screenplay competition.

Over the years, she has continued writing essays,  short stories, and novellas.  The 5ifth Cycle is her first novel.

Though she lived for a number of years in Los Angeles and Sacramento, she has always managed to find her way back home to the Central Coast in California where she grew up. She currently owns a website and graphic design business and is working on her next novel.
